A Breakdown of the 2018 Saline Christmas Parade

It all goes down on December 1, 2018… that’s this coming Saturday, so get ready! The event starts at 5:30 pm in Downtown Saline and winds up around 9 pm. During that time, you can enjoy live music, holiday lights and decor, a visit from Santa, live dances and performances, and even a hot air balloon.

The parade winds through Downtown along Michigan Ave and contains over 1,500 participants! This includes 40 floats, vehicles (including the aforementioned hot air balloon), bands, twirlers, dancers, and animals… all followed up by Santa Claus himself.

Plenty of Refreshments to Enjoy

Hungry? Thirsty? A bit chilled? At the Parade Grandstands, there will be some delicious refreshments provided by Ed’s Bread, Brewed Awakenings, and Carrigan Cafe.

Little ones eager to whisper their wishes to the man in red? Fear not—they’ll get their chance after the parade. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be visiting with kids of all ages at the Merchants Square Building (131 E Michigan Ave) until 8pm.

The Fun Continues the Weekend After, Too!

It’s the biggest event, but it’s hardly the last! The fun continues December 8 from 10am to 1:30pm with the Treasure Trail to Santa event at Busch’s Shopping Center. Start at the UPS store and follow the trail to Santa, gathering treats along the way. There will be horse-drawn carriage rides, too!
