What is Sonic Lunch?

Sonic Lunch is a free outdoor summer concert series hosted every summer in Downtown Ann Arbor by the Bank of Ann Arbor. It’s been running since 2008, and features a free show and an on-site lunch vendor.

When and Where?

Every Thursday in summer, from 11:30am to 1:30pm, at the corner of Liberty and Division in Downtown Ann Arbor. This season, the fun kicks off on June 6 and runs through August 29. It’s a perfect way to take a break from work to relax with a little lunch and music.

Who’s Playing This Year?

Sonic Lunch features a lineup of local, regional, and even national and international acts, so the talent is pretty impressive. This year, there will be performances by Jessica Hernandez & The Deltas, Michael Franti and Spearhead, Mat Kerekes, SHAED, Guster, Rayland Baxter, Adia Victoria, morgxn, The Accidentals, Laith Al-Saadi, and more.

Sonic Lunch is free thanks to a number of individuals and organizations in Ann Arbor, including the Bank of Ann Arbor and ann arbor’s 107one. Perich Advertising & Design provides the annual Sonic Lunch design, including banners, posters, t-shirts, and stickers.

And back in 2007, Jesse Bernstein and Halt Davis originally brought music to Liberty Plaza.
