Wishing all my friends and readers, a wonderful holiday tommorrow. May you enjoy and appreciate your family and friends, and remember all the good things we have in America.
My son, Jamie, from Nashville, got home at 4:00 A.M. At around 10:00 this morning, he received a call from his Commanding Officer in the Navy. He will be deployed in January. It was all very sad.
However, tonight he asked his girlfriend to marry him. He had brought her ring up from Nashville and after dinner proposed to her. We are very excited for them and love Melina.
So the day started in sadness but ended in great joy. That is life.
I wish you a day of Thankfulness and gratefulness in all lifes twists and turns.
Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours. Enjoy your day and we thank your son for serving this great country.

Great picture of a nice young couple and a diamond ring. Sometimes the best and only way to enjoy Thanksgiving is to relish the things we have to be thankful for. There is always plenty of the other stuff. I thank your son, and all of the members of the military that have sworn to protect us.
Thanks Larry and Jay!
Through times of sadness (Jamies deployment news) there is joy (The addition of a new daughter to your family!)
Congratulations to Jamie and Melina. You’ve spoken of her often and I know how much she means to you and your family.
