Irish Hills Devils Lake Cottage for sale
I am selling our lake house on Devils Lake. We have loved it and created so many memories there. But, life changes and with the deaths of my son, granddaughter, and husband, it is just too much for a widow to keep up two homes.
270 Park Street, Manitou Beach, Michigan 49253
Our cottage is located within walking distance to charming Manitou Beach which has boutiques, Manitou Beach restaurants, a coffee and ice cream shop plus the summer Saturday’s farmers market. The last two years there has been new business’s started which we love walking to.
We are including in the sale of the cottage the pontoon boat, jet ski’s and two lifts, one a double and one a single. Also, most of the furniture is staying. Only a few personal items will be taken. So if you have been considering a lake house, only 45 minutes from Saline and an hour from Ann Arbor this is
So if you have been considering a lake house, only 45 minutes from Saline and an hour from Ann Arbor this is move in ready. The cottage sleeps 12 comfortably, although we have had overflow on July 4th weekends.
The cottage has had many updates as we completely tore out all the paneling and replaced with drywall on the main area. Last year we added a new well pump, a new hot water heater and in 2012 we put down Cherry laminate flooring on the main level.
270 Park Street was built in 1915 and has a newer kitchen, newer refrigerator and we added a built in microwave. The bathroom was updated with new double sinks, and fixtures in 2013 and freshly painted.
There are three decks all overlooking beautiful Devils Lake. One deck is directly out the door wall and is covered, one off the Master bedroom and one large deck which is sunny and bright and holds a lot of guests. We refinished all the decks last summer.
There is a large garage, across the street at 200 Lookout street, where we store both our pontoon and double trailer for the jet ski. So no paying for winter storage. We also have an extra refrigerator we bring out in the summer to hold overflow food, beer, and pop. There is a large shed underneath the deck where all the tub’s, ski’s, and life jackets are stored.
Fun on Devils Lake
Hey, we have had the time of our lives at the lake house and I am hoping the person that buys it will enjoy it as we have. We have fantastic neighbors who I hate to leave and that makes me sad.
This is a view from the master bedroom deck. We loved having coffee out there early mornings before the kids woke up.
I have a list of everything we are leaving and upgrades if you email me I can send it to you, CaulkTeam@gmail.com or 734-926-9797.
